A Relaxed, Fun & Friendly Club on the London tideway

Parr's Priory Rowing Club is a unique and very friendly Putney-based rowing club offering a wide range of rowing and sculling opportunities, welcoming all abilities and levels of experience. We have a healthy approach to rowing, allowing you to balance the sport with your work and family life, either as a recreational rower, or a competitive British Rowing-licensed race rower. We train throughout the year and aim to achieve race goals too, taking part in local regattas and head races, as well as some further afield, and pride ourselves on offering you a fun social calendar.

Located on the Putney Embankment, our club is situated in one of the most scenic parts of the Thames. In fact, it's so picturesque that the Oxford and Cambridge teams have chosen our spot to race since 1845!

We offer fantastic facilities for rowers of all levels, including a rowing tank room for beginners and improvers, a weights and circuits area, and a multi-erg room. We’re also lucky to have a fleet of sweep and sculling boats (eights, fours, quads, pairs, doubles and singles), and our cosy club room, where you can enjoy delicious tea, coffee, and toast treats after rowing!

Training

We offer training every Saturday morning with weekly sessions at 08:00 and 10:00. We also train on Monday and Wednesday evenings, usually land-based on the ergs, in the tank or with circuits. There is of course the opportunity to train outside these times and this is usually organised by individuals or crews training for particular races.

Club Fees

Club membership is £40 per month, which includes our weekly training sessions and use of our facilities.

We value our coxes and for those wishing to cox only, there is no fee.

100 Club

For an optional monthly payment of just £5 you'll be entered into a monthly draw with a prize of £50. The proceeds of the 100 Club go directly to the boat fund. The boat fund has recently made significant contributions to a new boats as well as new blades.

Kit ("stash")

We love to wear our club colours (navy, blue and pink) with pride!

We have a great selection of kit available from Godfrey, including our racing lycra.

Our members can also buy our gorgeous blazers to stand out at events such as Henley!
